1. The ALF water hammer arrester operates with a pressurized air chamber behind a flexible diaphragm, avoiding the response lag, friction wear, seal leakage, or air loss seen in other designs.
2. Water hammer occurs downstream of check valves or non-return valves when the horizontal pipe length exceeds 50 meters, or when pumps are used in the pipeline system during start-up or shutdown. Installing the ALF series in-line water hammer arresters will significantly reduce the impact of water pressure waves caused by sudden changes in water flow.
